Suspect Arrested After Shots Fired At Junction City Restaurant

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW-TV) One man is facing attempted murder charges after a Tuesday evening shooting at a Junction City Fast Food Restaurant.

Junction City Police Lieutenant Jeff Childs says that just after 8:30 Tuesday night, authorities were dispatched to the Wendy's at 440 W. 6th Street in Junction City on reports of shots fired.

When officials arrived, they discovered that all those who were involved in the shooting had left the area.

A short time later, a gunshot victim arrived at the Geary County Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. That person was later treated and released. Their identity has not been released.

Robbie Dewayne Fountain Jr, 21, of Junction City has been booked into the Geary County Detention Center and charged with attempted murder.

Fountain is being held without bond pending his first appearance in Geary County District Court.
