TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The State of Kansas will resume placements with TFI-sponsored foster homes.
The state had suspended future placements with the organization following the July 24, 2014, death of a 10 month-old baby at a home they sponsored.
The child had been left in a hot car for at least two hours.
The foster father in that case, Seth Jackson, now faces murder charges stemming from that death
The Dept. of Children and Families Secretary Phyllis Gilmore said all TFI-sponsored homes were inspected in the wake of the death.
She's also formed a workgroup to review policies and procedures in foster care placements and inspections.
