South Topeka Liquor Store Robbery Photo Released

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Police are still searching for the man who robbed a south Topeka liquor store Monday night. Officers responded to reports of a robbery at Patty's Retail Liquor, 3705 SW Plaza Drive, shortly before 9:00 p.m.

Photos of the suspect have been released.

They say the suspect entered the store with a rifle, demanded money be put into a white kitchen trash bag and then ran from the store in an unknown direction. No one was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect was described as a clean cut white man, possibly in his late 20's, standing 6'0" to 6'3" tall, weighing anywhere from 190 to 210 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black hooded jacket, camouflage cargo shorts and was carrying a .22 rifle with the stock cut off.

Police said they may have recovered the gun used in the robbery, while K-9's were able to track the scent to a nearby apartment complex, but the suspect was not found.
