OGDEN, Kan. (WIBW)-- A bizarre encounter for an Army soldier after police say he discovered a stranger in his Ogden home.

On January 14, 2013, Christopher Soder, 34, filed a burglary report with the Riley County Police Department after a laptop was taken from his house on Honeydew Lane.

The next morning at 9:45 AM, Soder found a woman he didn't know in his home and his computer had been returned. He called police and officers arrested the Santos Giordano, 30, of Ogden for burglary and criminal trespass.

It is not clear how the confrontation between Soder and Giordano played out in his house but officials indicated there was a language barrier.

Soder believes the intruder got in through an unlocked door.

Police say it is possible Giordano was bringing back the computer because she had a change of heart after breaking in and stealing it.

She has since posted bond.
