Six Teens Injured In Western Kansas Crash

MORTON COUNTY, Kan (KAKE) -- Six Kansas teenagers are being treated after being injured in an accident. The one-vehicle accident happened before 1:00 a.m. Monday on Road Z in Morton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said a Chevy Silverado truck left the roadway and veered into a field. The driver lost control of the truck. It rolled coming to rest on its wheels.

The driver, Matthew Pearson, 18, of Moscow was taken to Stevens County Hospital. Five passengers were hurt;

--Jorge Araiza, 18, of Moscow. Taken to Stevens County Hospital.

--Mia Miranda, 15, of Johnson. Taken to Wesley Medical Center.

--Paloma Moran, 17, of Moscow. Undergoing treatment at Stevens County Hospital.

--Alejandra Moran, 16, of Moscow. Taken to Stevens County Hospital.

--Vianney Sierra, 15, of Johnson. Taken to Morton County Hospital.

Troopers said Miranda and the Morans were not wearing safety belts.
