TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A sobriety check lane was conducted Saturday night by the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office.
The check lane was set up from 11:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. this morning in the 4700 block of SW Topeka Boulevard.
While the sobriety check lane was operational officers made contact with a total of 103 vehicles. Deputies tested 10 persons for possible impairment. One person was arrested for dui and one person in another car was ticketed for having an open container.
The Shawnee County Sheriff Department has designed these checkpoints to deter and detect intoxicated drivers.
