TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- Friday, the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office conducted a
DUI saturation patrol.
Between 11:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. police issued these results from the night:
23 traffic stops
1 tested for DUI
20 warning tickets were issued
12 for equipment violations
8 moving vehicle violations
3 citations were issued
1 person was arrested on a warrant
The goal was to reduce the number and severity of traffic accidents. The patrol was funded by a grant awarded by the state.
