Shawnee County Pools Open Saturday

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--With the school year drawing to a close, Shawnee County Parks and Rec Pools will open for the summer.

The pools will open Saturday at noon. The pools are open seven days a week and hours and admission fees vary at each facility.

Pools opening Saturday include Blaisdell Family Aquatic Center in Gage Park, Garfield Family Aquatic Center at 1600 N Quincy, Hillcrest Family Aquatic Center at 1800 SE 21st, Lake Shawnee Swim Beach at 3300 SE 29th St., Oakland Pool at 801 NE Poplar, Rossville Community Swimming Pool at 714 Main St. in Rossville and Shawnee North Family Aquatic Center at 300 NE 43rd St.

The spray park in Samuel Jackson Park at SE 8th and Lake will also open on Saturday. There is no fee to use the spray park.

Crestview Pool at 4801 SW Shunga Dr. will not open due to structural issues.
