TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- Topekans can take advantage of four sessions in January to help with health insurance enrollment.
The Shawnee County Health Agency released this information:
"With increasing success of people obtaining health insurance through the marketplace, and the next deadline for enrollment of January 15th, the Shawnee County Health Agency (SCHA) is looking to help residents sign-up through enrollment sessions.
Tues. Jan. 7th 4-7 p.m. at the Shawnee County Health Agency, 1615 SW 8th *
Fri. Jan. 10th 3-6 p.m. at Topeka Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 SW 10th
Mon. Jan. 13th 3-6 p.m. at Topeka Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 SW 10th
Tues. Jan. 14th 4-7 p.m. at the Shawnee County Health Agency, 1615 SW 8th *
*These sessions will have Spanish speaking interpreters available.
Some deadline dates for those wishing to obtain health insurance through the marketplace have been modified:
If you sign up between January 1-15, 2014, your coverage will start Feb. 1, 2014
If you sign up between January 16-February 15, 2014, your coverage will start March 1, 2014
If you sign up between February 16-March 15, 2014, your coverage will start April 1, 2014
If you sign up between March 16-March 31, 2014, your coverage will start May 1, 2014
If not enrolled by March 15, 2014, you will only be able to enroll under special circumstances such as, loss of job, divorce, birth of a child, etc.
