TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A Kansas Senator is touting the state's strengths to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Senator Jerry Moran spoke with the FAA's Unmanned Aerial Systems Integration Office Manager, Jim Williams, today. The FAA is responsible for integrating UAS platforms into national airspace.
Senator Moran said, "they discussed the progress kansas is making in UAS' emerging aviation enterprise, and how the state is ready and able to manage u-a-s activities."
Moran says the UAS industry could have an immeasurable impact for Kansas. But the FAA still has much to do to make certain the technology is properly incorporated and accounted for in our skies.
