TOPEKA, Kan A semi pulling two trailers flipped on I-70 Sunday morning shutting down its eastbound lanes near the Carlson Rd. exit has been removed and the Interstate has reopened, authorities said.
The tractor-trailer, which was carrying furniture, ended up on its side and the driver was trapped inside. Emergency crews freed him and he was hurt, they said.
The wreck happened around 8:00 a.m. at mile marker 345. The Carlson Road exit leads drivers to Rossville.
The highway reopened shortly after 1:00 p.m.
