TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) -- A semi truck attempting a u-turn on Interstate 335 sent an oncoming semi into the ditch.
The Kansas Turnpike Authority said the accident happened on northbound I-335, around seven miles south of the south Topeka exit around 6:25 a.m. Friday.
The semi that attempted the u-turn was traveling south and had missed his exit at South Topeka.
Officials say the northbound semi was clipped by the semi attempting to make u-turn on the turnpike. The collision sent the tractor trailer into the ditch.
Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
