TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Local teachers are going high-tech.

40 teachers from the Seaman School District are in training to learn how to use iPads in their classrooms.

The training by a certified Apple trainer is paid for by a grant Seaman received from the Verizon Foundation. It also covers the cost of substitute teachers for those being trained.

Seaman made the major technology purchase last June.

Teachers who attended the last training session are already putting what they learned to use in the classroom.
