(WIBW) - A teenager who tragically took her own life Thursday night was a former Seaman High School student.

The 17-year old old jumped from a bridge over I-470 Thursday night. The highway was closed several hours while authorities investigated.

13 News is not identifying the victim by name due to her age and the circumstances surrounding her death.
