Sardou Bridge Closed Following Head-On Collision

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Sardou Bridge was closed Wednesday morning as crews worked a head-on collision.

According to an officer on scene, the driver of a black station wagon style vehicle crossed the center line, striking an oncoming car.

The driver of the black vehicle and the driver of the other car were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Both were conscious when they were taken from the accident scene.

Nobody else was involved in the accident.

The accident was reported to emergency crews just after 8 a.m.
