Salina Native Tabbed To Lead University Of Denver

DENVER, Colo. A Salina native will be the new leader at a university in Colorado.

Rebecca Chopp has been named the 18th chancellor at the University of Denver.

Chopp most recently was the President at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, a position she's held since 2009.

She received her bachelors from Kansas Wesleyan University before getting her masters from Saint Paul School of Theology and her PHD from the University of Chicago.

Chopp will begin her new position before the university's fall quarter begins in September.
