MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Two people are facing charges in Riley County after a SWAT team and narcotics investigators raided their Manhattan trailer.
On Friday, March 30, 2012 at 6:30 AM, members of the Riley County Police Department executed a search warrant at 69 Cody Place in northeast Manhattan, not far from the intersection of Allen Road and Casement Road.
According to a press release from Lieutenant Michael Quintanar in RCPD's Investigations Division, officers located a variety of drugs, drug paraphernalia and loaded weapons in the trailer.
David Bonney, 27, who lives at 69 Cody Place, was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Hydrocodone (prescription pain killer), Possession of Alprazolam (Xanax), No Drug Tax Stamp, two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. Bonney's bond was set at $8,500.
Currin Ayer, 24, who also lives at 69 Cody Place, was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $4,500.
Officials say "ongoing narcotics investigations" led them to that location. Because investigators had received information about the possibility of weapons being inside the trailer, RCPD's tactical team helped make entry into the home.
