TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A section of I-470 was shut down in Topeka Tuesday following a rollover accident between Fairlawn and 21st Street just before 3 p.m.

KHP officials say a car with two occupants was traveling south when it crossed both lanes of traffic and hit a guard rail before rolling over.

Early reports from 580 Radio indicated that at least one person was listed in serous condition. Officials later said both occupants received only minor injuries.

Eastbound traffic on I-470 was being diverted off the highway at 29th street around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. The highway reopened by 3:35 p.m.

Neither occupant in the vehicle Tuesday was wearing a seatbelt, according to KHP.
