TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) -- **Update**
According to the Westar Energy website, power has been restored in the 10th & Fairlawn area that was affected.
A Saturday morning rollover accident caused power outages in west Topeka.
Shawnee County Dispatch reported that a truck was involved in a rollover accident at 10th and Kent Place, near Fairlawn around 6:25 a.m.
The adult female driving the truck crashed into a utility pole, causing power outages in the surrounding areas.
Emergency responders were waiting for Westar Energy crews to arrive, so they could fix the downed power line, before removing the driver from the vehicle. Topeka Police said she was trapped inside the overturned truck for at least 40 minutes.
Parts of 10th street were closed off as crews worked the scene.
The woman suffered broken bones and non-life threatening injuries. Topeka Fire crews extricated her from the vehicle and she was transported to a local hospital around 8:05 a.m.
Police believe a medical condition caused the woman to crash.
As of 9:00 a.m., residences around 10th and Fairlawn were still without power as Westar crews worked to repair the downed lines.
