Road Closures Set For October 29 - November 2

Road closures that begin Monday morning could affect your commute.

The Kansas Department of Transportation released this alert for Monday through Friday, October 29 - November 2, 2012 in Shawnee County:

US-75

EXPECT DELAYS! LANE & RAMP CLOSURES: Northbound and southbound from Soldier Creek to I-70 will be reduced to one lane for milling then paving work on Monday-Friday, October 29-November 2. Work hours are as follows: Northbound US-75 will be reduced to one lane from 7:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. the following day and all northbound lanes will be open to unrestricted traffic from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day. Southbound US-75 will be reduced to one lane from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following day and all southbound lanes will be open to unrestricted traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. each day. The following ramp closures will also take place as follows. Marked detours will be provided.

Monday, October 29 Ramp Closures:

Southbound US-75 to eastbound I-70/Gage Boulevard - CLOSED from 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

Eastbound I-70 to northbound US-75/Gage Boulevard - CLOSED from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

NOTE: Eastbound I-70 to northbound US-75 ramp will open no later than 3:30 p.m.; Gage Boulevard ramp portion will remain closed until 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, October 30 Ramp Closures:

Westbound I-70 to northbound US-75 - CLOSED from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Southbound US-75 to westbound I-70 - CLOSED from 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

NOTE: Once the two above ramps are reopened, then the eastbound I-70 to northbound US-75/00Gage Boulevard ramp will close (NOTE: Eastbound I-70 to northbound US-75 ramp will open no later than 3:30 p.m.; Gage Boulevard ramp portion will remain closed until 7:00 p.m.)

Wednesday, October 31 Ramp Closures:

Southbound US-75 to westbound I-70 - CLOSED from 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

Westbound I-70 to northbound US-75 - CLOSED from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.

Project work is scheduled to be completed on Friday, November 2, weather permitting.
