Police Bust Suspected Drug House, Two Questioned

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Authorities in HazMat suits secured a suspected drug house in Topeka Thursday after officers executed a search warrant at the property.

The warrant was executed at 1108 Macvicar around 11:15 a.m. Officers told 13 News they found evidence of what were believed to be drugs at a home.

Officers in HazMat suits could be seen entering the home over the noon hour Thursday. The suits are used as a precautionary measure when dealing with drugs, and potential airborn spores, police said.

Officers closed the 1100 block of Macvicar Thursday while authorities were the incident.

Two individuals were taken into custody for questioning. Police said no arrest were made.

Police said Thursday the investigation was ongoing, and that some details would not be released, as they could jeopardize the case.
