Riley Co. Police Investigating Death Of 40-Year-Old Man

RILEY COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police are investigating the death of a man who passed away at a Manhattan hospital Thursday morning.

Very few details are being released on the case but Sergeant Bradley Ingalls says the male patient, 40, was transported to Mercy Regional Health Center by paramedics in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 17, 2013 and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Ingalls called the man's death "unusual" but indicated that it does not appear to be the result of a homicide. Officials do not suspect any foul play.

No other information is available at this time. The identity of the deceased man is not yet being released.
