TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - An audit has found that a state prison for juveniles has inadequate drug treatment programs.
The Legislative Post Audit Division's report found that the substance abuse treatment programs at the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex in Topeka are not designed to meet individual needs. The audit says between 70 and 85 percent of juvenile offenders need substance abuse services.
This is the second part of the KJCC audit. The first, issued in July, found security weaknesses and was deemed more time-critical.
