TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topekans continue to dial in and donate dollars to help area children.

Country Legends 106.9 held Day 2 of its radiothon for Children's Miracle Network.

Our own Ralph Hipp was among those helping the cause at the north Toepka Walmart on Wednesday.

Samantha Teed was also on hand. Her 5 year-old daughter Hannah was born with Charge Syndrome, a genetic condition causing complex and often life-threatening medical difficulties.

She said CMN has helped Hannah and their family lead full lives.

"It amazes me each and every time how giving people are to people that really need help<" said Teed. "We couldn't do the things that we needed to do for Hannah and receive the education that we have been given without the individuals who give to us and without Children's Miracle Network."

The event continues from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
