Publics Works Director Wants Residents To Be Aware Of Snow Forecast

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Shawnee County Public Works Director, Tom Vlach joined the call for the public to be very aware of tomorrow's forecast.

He told commissioners that his main concern is the potential for heavy winds along with the snow.

"What worries me even more is the potential for very heavy winds, strong winds if that's the case, that's when the storm really becomes dangerous and difficult to keep open especially on the east/west road ways with the winds coming from the north."

Vlach assured commissioners and the public that county crews are ready to go and will be out in full force.
