Probation Revoked For Man Shot By Sheriff's Deputy

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The suspect shot by a sheriff's deputy during a Topeka arrest had his probation revoked.

Gary Davis was also sentenced to six months in the Department of Corrections with no post release supervision.

Davis was booked into the Shawnee County Jail in early April after failing to check in with his parole officer since February in connection to a November 2012 theft conviction.

Shawnee County Sheriff's deputies were helping the Federal Fugitive Task Force serve a warrant at a mobile home at Highway 24 and N. Kansas Avenue where Davis was hiding. A deputy shot him in the leg.
