Preliminary Hearing Set For Suspect In Topeka's Fourth Homicide of 2014

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A preliminary hearing is set for one of two people charged in connection with Topeka's fourth homicide of the year.

Damieon Ortega-Brown is scheduled to be in court next on August 27.

Ortega-Brown is charged with first degree murder and criminal discharge of a firearm in the death of Patrick Lightbourn Jr., 19, on June 20.

A 17-year-old juvenile was also arrested in connection to the shooting.

Ortega-Brown is being held on a $2.5 million bond.
