WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ State Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger plans to give a talk about the changing health care system in Kansas.
Wichita State University's political science department is hosting Praeger for a presentation at 7 p.m. Thursday in the university's CAC Theater. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Praeger plans to talk about changes facing Kansas and the nation under the new, federal health insurance law.
As insurance commissioner, she is responsible for regulating all insurance sold in Kansas. She oversees nearly 1,700 insurance companies and more than 100,000 state-licensed agents.
