FORT RILEY, Kan. (WIBW) - Power is expected to be restored within the hour on Fort Riley.
Officials at Fort Riley tell 13 News power went out on the base around 5:30 p.m. They say the hot temperatures and high humidity levels are to blame, as it caused equipment in a substation to fail.
Crews were working for hours to re-route power from different substations. Officials say power is coming on across the base and should be completely restored by 10:00 p.m.
