EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Lyon Co. Sheriff's Office is investigating a rash of stolen vehicles, which they think are all connected.

On Wednesday, officers found a white Ford F-350 work vehicle at the Miracle Cafe in Reading. The truck had been reported stolen by the Lee's Summit Police Dept.

Later that day, a grain truck was stolen from the Reading Elevator sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Authorities believe the suspect got a ride from a local farmer into Emporia, where a brown 4-door Chevrolet Prizm was taken from the S. Exchange Road.

The suspect is being described as a white man, 5'9", in his 40's or 50's, with sandy red hair and a husky build. He was wearing a dark short sleeve shirt and shorts.
