Manhattan, Kan. (WIBW)-- Police are investigating two shootings that happened before noon Tuesday in Manhattan.

Police say they were called to 1949 Crescent Drive in Manhattan around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, by 20-year-old Brock Gibby. Gibby told police that he had just been shot.

Gibby identified the shooter as 18-year-old Tyler White of Manhattan. Gibby told police that White had left the scene of the shooting in a black GMC pickup.

Police located the truck and White around 11:40 a.m. in the 3700 block of Seth Child Road. Before they could make contact with White, they say he stopped his vehicle and shot himself.

White and Gibby were taken to Mercy Regional Health Center in critical condition.
