Police Seek Armed Suspect In Pott. Co. Pizza Delivery Robbery

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office is seeking the whereabouts of William John Thomas, AKA; Billy Thomas.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Thomas for Aggravated Robbery in connection with the robbery of a Gambino's Pizza delivery person on September 17th in St.Mary's KS.

Thomas may be armed with a knife and should not be approached.

Thomas is a white male, 23 years old, 6 foot tall with blond hair and blue eyes.

On Tuesday, September 17th, at approximately 9:20 p.m., the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Dispatch received a report of a robbery in St.Mary's. The victim, a pizza delivery person for Gambino's Pizza, St.Mary's reported that while he was delivering an order in the 800 block of Willow street he was approached by the suspect who was on foot. The suspect ordered the delivery person (who had gotten out of a vehicle to deliver a pizza) to put the pizza on the ground and hand over his delivery money. The delivery person initially refused to turn over the money however the suspect then produced a knife, walked towards the delivery person yelled at him to give him the money. The pizza delivery person gave up the money and the suspect fled without further incident. The money bag did contain an unspecified amount of cash and a check. It is believed that the suspect in this matter placed the call for delivery in order to set up the robbery.

The suspect is described as being a white male, 6 foot tall and wearing a white cloth across his face and dark clothing.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office and the St.Mary's Police Department are asking for help in identifying the suspect in this matter. The victim did not see what direction the suspect fled, however the suspect would have been in the area of the 812 block of Willow Street in St.Mary's around 9:20 p.m..
