Police Searching For Suspect In Armed Gas Station Robbery

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) A man armed with a semi-automatic weapon robbed a gas station early Thursday morning.

The Topeka Police Department says that around 1:15 a.m. a man entered the Kicks 66 gas station on SW Gage Boulevard, pointed his weapon at the clerk and demanded money.

After the clerk handed over the money, the robber ran out of the station and headed south.

Officers and a K-9 set up a perimeter but was unable to locate the suspect.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white male with blue eyes, standing five feet ten inches tall and weighing 170 pounds.

He was wearing a dark ski mask over his face, blue jeans, dark shirt and armed with a black semi-automatic hand gun.
