Rubberneckers Make Multi-Car Wreck Worse Police Said

Topeka Police say at 11:15 Sunday morning, a red Tacoma truck flipped into the center grass area off of I-470 near 21st Street exit.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Then, Topeka Police say, drivers got distracted while watching the truck flip and this caused a multi-vehicle wreck.

A female in a red vehicle veered off the road. Her car's windshield was cracked. Police did not comment on how it got cracked. Police say the female got out of the car and started walking on the highway when another vehicle bumped her. She was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, police say this also caused 2 other cars to crash. A blue vehicle crashed into a black vehicle causing damage to both vehicles. Neither driver was injured in that accident.
