Officers Investigate Gunshot Reports In SW Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Law enforcement agencies worked together Monday afternoon on a shooting report.

Topeka Police say they received multiple reports around 3 p.m. of shots fired in the 2300 block of SW 26th Drive. Witnesses told authorities several people ran from the home at 2325 SW 26th Drive.

Response teams from Topeka Police, the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office and Kansas Highway Patrol surrounded the home and made entry about an hour later, but no one was found.

Animal control was seen taking a dog from the scene.
