Rain heavy at times will move across northeast Kansas this afternoon and tonight that could lead to flooding. Severe storms are also possible through this evening with 60 mph wind gusts and hail up to the size of quarters.
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka police officers are on the lookout for a suspect who stabbed a man in central Topeka tonight.
Officers say a little before 10 p.m., two white males were walking north in an alley near the 1200 block of Topeka Blvd. when another white male in his early 20's and over six feet tall approached them and stabbed one of them.
The suspect took off on foot running westbound. The victims friend chased after the suspect briefly before flagging down an officer. The stabbing victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. The incident is under investigation.
