TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - What began as a domestic call, turned into a bomb squad call in West Topeka Monday night.

22-year-old John Kochase was arrested at 1741 S.W Green Acres just after 9:10 p.m. Police say he was booked for Aggravated Assault and Battery.

During a follow-up investigation, officers found a suspicious device inside the house. The police bomb squad responded the scene and removed the device without incident. They said the explosive was not a live device. They cleared the scene a short time later.
