Police: Infidelity Led To Stabbing In Southeast Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -- Police say a stabbing this morning in southeast Wichita stemmed from infidelity.

It began shortly before 3 a.m. Monday at a home in the 5100 block of East Zimmerly. According to police, a 23-year-old woman found out that the 24-year-old father of her child was cheating on her. Police say she then woke him up, chased him out of the house with a knife and stabbed him in the back.

Around 7 a.m., that man called 911 from the area of Gilbert and Oliver saying he had been stabbed. He was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. He was later arrested for for violating a Protection from Abuse order (PFA).

The woman was also arrested.
