The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the person killed in a crash southwest of Hutchinson late Friday. 49 year-old Brian Bush died when his car was struck head-on by another car along highway 50 about three miles west of Abbeyville.

50 year-old Annette Bush was riding with him and also was injured. However, troopers say a two year-old child in a car seat was not injured.

The KHP crash log indicates a car driven by Trevor Meitler, 42, of Hutchinson, crossed the center line and struck the Bush's car head-on.

Reno County Sheriff officials say one person was killed and three others hurt in a two-vehicle accident about 13 miles southwest of Hutchinson. It happened just before 9:30 p.m. Friday on Highway 50 at Salem Road.

The highway was shut down in both directions while crews worked to free victims trapped in one of the vehicles. At least one of the victims is reported to be a young child.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
