TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A plea hearing for a man accused of shooting his wife at a Topeka apartment complex has been delayed. Shiek Azeez was set to enter a plea on Friday, but the District Attorney's office said his court date has been rescheduled for March.

Azeez is charged with attempted second degree murder for an October 10th shooting at the Overlook Apartments, located just west of SW Huntoon and Wanamaker.

Police had said the victim was shot several times. They also said the victim's child was found in the apartment where the shooting happened, but was not injured.
