TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Kansas City Royals pitcher returned to where he got his first start.

Aaron Crow brought the Royals Caravan to his alma mater, Auburn Elementary School, Thursday.

Crow, along with Eric Hosmer, Everett Teaford, Hall of Famer Willie Wilson and broadcaster Ryan Lefebvre read to the students. Mascot Sluggerrr was also on hand to give the students a special salute.

The team brought a gift, too. The players signed two of the old Royals stadium seats, which will be placed in the school's library.

Crow told the kids to never forget where they came from.

The group's stop at the school was followed by a Caravan appearance open to the public at Skinnys Sports Bar.
