TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-Many survivors, loved ones and supporters ran for a reason early Saturday.
More than 130 runners participated in the 5k run for suicide prevention hosted by the Shawnee County Suicide Prevention Coalition.
Registration fees were 25 to 30 dollars and all proceeds go to the Shawnee County Suicide Prevention Coalition.
There was a PowerPoint presentation and awards ceremony for the top finishers at the reception after the race.
