TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - One man is behind bars after hitting a person with his car Tuesday morning.
Officers responded around 10:15 a.m. to the 2900 block of SW Topeka Blvd. on reports of a disturbance in a parking lot.
Officials say a citizen stopped and got out of his car to help another person cross an icy area in the parking lot when a third party became upset over the stopped car blocking the driveway.
Following a verbal altercation, one of the parties allegedly struck the other citizen with his vehicle.
Kevin Joe Zirkle was taken into custody on aggravated battery charges.
The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
