Parents Charged With Child Abuse For Lawrence Walmart Incident

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Charges are now filed against the parents of two children found bound and blindfolded in a Lawrence Walmart parking lot Wednesday.

Adolfo Gomez, Jr. and Deborah Martha Gomez of Northlake, Illinois are each charged with two counts of child abuse and five counts of child endangerment.

Police arrested them after finding their five- and seven- year old tied up outside an SUV Wednesday morning. Three more siblings were found inside the car.

The children are in temporary protective custody.
