TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW-TV) -- Vehicle burglaries have been on the rise in Shawnee County.
The Sheriff's Office is warning that most of these burglaries have occurred in no specific location, and have happened to vehicles left unlocked with valuables in plain view.
Remember, "lock it, remove it or lose it!"
Deputies are also reminding you to shut your garage door at night. They've noticed an increase in open doors, which presents an easy opportunity for thieves to enter.
