TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Nearly 100 pieces of art were auctioned off Friday for a good cause.
Family Service and Guidance Center hosted the 7th annual "Works of Heart Art Event and Auction".
Attendees could browse through work created by featured artists, children aged three to 17 from the organization. Professional artists from across the Midwest also had their work on display.
Proceeds from Friday's event will benefit the Family Service and Guidance Center -- a nonprofit mental health center that serves children and families across northeast Kansas.
Last year, nearly 350 people attended the event, raising more than $88,000.
