TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A new mail scam is working its way through Shawnee Co., the county's health agency is warning.
The Shawnee County Health Agency (SCHA) said it was informed of a recent mailing within the county claiming to be from the agency and asking for such personal information as date of birth and social security number.
The SCHA says it does not request information like this.
If you have received unexpected mailings asking for information like this, you're asked to contact SCHA to verify the documents. If you've already replied with your personal information call the Kansas Attorney General's Office at 1-800-432-2310.
