New Activity Center Looks To Unite Families

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A new activity center is hoping to unite families and teach children positive behavior.

The Exoduster Family Activity Center, on SW 12th St., will begin showing movies and hosting night-time activities Friday night.

The center will include after school activities such as tutoring and leadership classes... and even a karaoke night!

They also have a weekly activity scheduled, that children and their families can attend:

All day Monday - Closed
6:30 p.m. Tuesday - Gospel Jazzercise
7:30 p.m. Wednesday - Mexican movie night
7:00 p.m. Thursday - Karaoke night
5:00 p.m. Friday - Soul food & classic movie night
5:00 p.m. Saturday - Soul food & old school music
8:00 p.m. Saturday - Soul food & old school music, and kids movie night
11:00 a.m. Sunday - Outdoor church service

Project Coordinator Curtis Pitts says the center will hopefully teach children positive behaviors.

Pitts says he hopes the center will officially open in about three weeks.
