NJCAA Half Marathon Championship To Be Held In Capital City

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--Topeka has been named the host city of the 2014 National Junior College Athletic Association's Men's and Women's Half Marathon National Championship.

The event will be held on November 22, 2014 and will bring 250 collegiate runners from junior colleges across the United States to the capital city.

Visit Topeka, Inc. won the bid for the 13.1 mile championship that will be held at Lake Shawnee.

The championship had previously been held in Dallas, GA, Lubbock, Texas and Overland Park.
