(WIBW)-- The Sprint Center stage in safe from the wrecking ball - for now.
The Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz" tour stop scheduled for Tuesday night in Kansas City has been cancelled.
A statement on the Sprint Center web site says Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors.
Cyrus posted a tweet just before 6 pm, shortly after the cancellation was announced. It read, in part, "Kansas I promise Im as (heartbroken emoticon) as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night."
Shortly after, she posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed:
Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me 🌈 pic.twitter.com/7FJFxYa7M5— Miley Ray Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) April 15, 2014
Cyrus also cancelled her April 7 concert in Charlotte, NC, saying doctors had diagnosed her with the flu. She did perform the next night in Raleigh.
Refunds for tickets to the Sprint Center date will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded.
There was no immediate comment on the possibility Cyrus would reschedule the tour date.
